Preserves & Jams
Fig, mayhaw, satsuma and peach, cooked in small copper batches and sealed the same morning they are made.
Lafayette, Louisiana · Established 2026
A small gourmet pantry on Jefferson Street, stocked with preserves, pepper sauces, seasonings and sweets from makers across South Louisiana. Come in for one jar. Leave with a gift that tastes like home.
Everything here is chosen by taste, not by margin. If a jar does not earn its place on our own kitchen table, it does not go on the shelf.
Fig, mayhaw, satsuma and peach, cooked in small copper batches and sealed the same morning they are made.
Cane vinegar pepper sauce, smoked chili blends and the slow-burn hot sauces our regulars buy three at a time.
Pecan pralines, cane syrup candy and buttery shortbread, boxed and ready to hand straight to someone.
Built in front of you or shipped in your name, wrapped in kraft paper with a card in your own words.
Belle kept a pantry the way other people keep a photo album. Fig preserves from the tree out back. Pepper sauce started in August and poured at Christmas. A tin of pralines that somehow never ran out, no matter how many grandchildren came through the door.
We opened this shop in 2026 to put that pantry within reach of everybody else. Most of what we sell comes from families within a two hour drive of Lafayette, and we know every one of them by name.
Tell us the person, the occasion and the budget. We build the basket, wrap it and write the card while you wait, or send it out for you.
Volume orders with your logo on the tag, one invoice, and a shipping list we work through address by address.
Favors, welcome bags and table gifts in your colors, planned early and delivered on the day you need them.
Good food down here was never about the recipe. It was about who handed it to you.Belle’s Pantry, Lafayette
The satsumas came in early this year, so the marmalade is on the shelf ahead of schedule. Alongside it: our beignet mix with the cane sugar packed separately, a fresh run of smoked pepper jelly, and the first pralines of the holiday season.
We post what arrives each week on Facebook and Instagram. If you want something held back, call the shop and we will put your name on it.
I sent twelve baskets to clients in Houston and got four phone calls about the pepper jelly alone.Danielle R., Lafayette
My mother moved to Oregon and misses home. One box from here fixed more than any phone call did.Marc B., Broussard
They wrapped forty wedding favors in our colors and had them ready two days early. Not one thing went wrong.Alise & Tom, Youngsville
A name, an occasion and a budget is all we need to start. We will come back with two or three ideas and a price, usually the same day.
