Good questions

Everything people ask us before they order

If the answer you need is not here, call the shop or send us a message. We answer every inquiry within one business day, usually much sooner.

Ordering

Call the shop, email us, or send the form on the contact page. Tell us who the gift is for, when you need it and roughly what you want to spend. We reply with two or three options and a price, usually the same day.

There is no minimum order. One jar with a ribbon on it is a real order and we treat it like one.

No. We build to whatever budget you have in mind, and we will tell you honestly when spending more would not make the gift any better.

Yes. Ask for a photo and we will send one before it is sealed, so you can swap anything you would rather change.

We prefer it, honestly. Call (337) 555-0142 during shop hours and somebody who works here will pick up.

Shipping and pickup

All fifty states. Orders placed before 2pm Central ship the same business day, and most of the country receives them in two to four business days.

Each jar is sleeved, corner-packed and sealed in a rigid box. If anything arrives broken, send us a photo and we replace it at no cost. No forms, no arguing.

Yes. Most in-stock orders are ready the same day. We hold pickups for seven days as standard and longer if you tell us you need it. There is a loading spot in front of the shop for larger orders.

We deliver inside Lafayette Parish. Ask when you order and we will tell you the next available day.

Never. Gift orders ship without a receipt or price anywhere in the box, and your card is written by hand.

Gifts and custom orders

Yes. Send us your colors and we will match the ribbon and tag stock. We can post samples before you commit, and we hold the full order until the week of your event.

We do. Send a spreadsheet of names and addresses and we ship the whole list, put your logo on the tag and bill it as one invoice. Net terms are available once we have worked together a few times.

Tell us about allergies or things the recipient will not eat and we build around them. Nuts, dairy, gluten and heat level are the four we get asked about most.

Yes, monthly or quarterly, and you can pause or cancel any time by sending us a message. It is popular with families who have somebody living out of state.

Products and returns

Small producers, most of them within a two hour drive of Lafayette. Every shelf tag names the maker. We buy directly and we taste everything before it is stocked.

Sealed jars keep for about eighteen months in a cool cupboard. Once opened, keep them refrigerated and use within about a month. Every jar carries its own best-by date.

If something is damaged, spoiled or not what you expected, tell us within fourteen days and we will replace it or refund it. Food safety rules mean we cannot resell opened items, so there is nothing to send back.

To a small number of shops and restaurants, yes. Send us a note through the contact page with what you have in mind and we will talk it through.

Ask us anything, including the awkward ones

Whether something will survive a flight to Seattle. Whether the pepper sauce is too hot for your father in law. Whether forty favors can be ready in nine days.

We would rather talk it through than have you guess. Nobody here works on commission, so the answer you get is the honest one.
